MFR Souls, the South African Amapiano duo of Tumelo Nedondwe and Tumelo Mabe, has been shaping the genre since forming in 2013, after first meeting in 2009.
They gained widespread attention with their 2019 hit single “Love You Tonight,” which went platinum and earned nominations at the 26th South African Music Awards.
Following this success, they released the single “Abahambayo” and their second studio album "Healers of the Soul" in 2021. In 2022, MFR Souls released the EP "T-Squared" and were featured in the Spotify documentary Freedom Sounds: From Kwaito to Amapiano, highlighting their role in South Africa’s evolving music scene.
Their achievements include recognition at the Metro FM Music Awards. MFR Souls continue to expand the reach of Amapiano music locally and internationally.
